EFC administers a number of programs, including managing the most successful State Revolving Funds in the nation. These programs have provided over $34 billion in low-cost financing and grants for approximately 3,000 water and sewer infrastructure projects across New York State. About EFC Announcements Governor Cuomo Announces More than $416 Million in Grants for Water Infrastructure Improvements Across New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the state Environmental Facilities Corporation has awarded more than $416 million through the Water Infrastructure Improvement Act and the Intermunicipal Water Infrastructure Grant Program to municipalities for infrastructure projects that protect public health or improve water quality. The awards include more than $120 million for 37 projects to address emerging contaminants on Long Island. These grants are supporting nearly $1.6 billion in project costs, contributing over 20,000 jobs to New York’s economy and saving New York localities over $700 million. Click Here for More Information Interactive Map of Grant Awardees 2019 Award List Governor Cuomo Announces More Than $761 Million in Economic and Community Development Resources Awarded Through 2019 Regional Council Competition In 2011, Governor Cuomo launched the Regional Economic Development Councils and the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) to provide each region with the tools to create and implement their own roadmap for economic prosperity and job creation. After eight successful rounds, the 2019 CFA made over $750 million in economic development resources available from over thirty programs across ten state agencies.
